BR Class 52 Western Diesel Hydraulic

This is a detailed Lima model with scaratch built motor bogie/chassis.

The main reason for this page is to describe the scratch built chassis.

The chassis frame is soldered up from Brass angle with rectangular brass tube
for the motor and bogie mountings. The motor drives two axles on one bogie.

The Mashima motor is fitted with two flywheels and mounted on the main chassis frame. The drive is then transferred
to the motor bogie by drive shaft.

A lay shaft drives the two axles by worm and gear sets
