Cast Resin one piece body, cast resin
bogie side frames and fuel tank sides, buffers.
The main reason for this page is to describe the scratch built
chassis.
The chassis frame is soldered up from
Brass angle with rectangular brass tube
for the motor and bogie mountings. The motor drives both axles on
one bogie.
The bogie drives through reduction
gearing and crown ring and pinnion gears to the axles.
The lead block adds weight to the drive bogie.
Adrive shaft transfers the drive from the chassis mounted motor to the motor bogie
On the chassis, reduction gearing
between motor and drive shaft. The twin flywheels are seperated
by a
simple clutch assembly which enables the motor to be removed from
the frame.
